Is there a minimum quantity for DTF prints?

No, you can buy just one if you want.

How many DTF transfers can I get on one sheet?

The transfer rolls are 580mm x 1000mm. you can fit as many as you like.

What equipment do I need to use the DTF transfers?

You will need design software (we use CorelDraw and Illustrator) to send us your artwork, and a heat press to fix the transfer to your garment or other items.

What are your turnaround times for DTF printing?

If your artwork is print-ready, we offer same-day service for collection and same day dispatch for posting.

What is the best format for DTF artwork?

We accept PNG, PSD, TIFF, AI, CDR, and PDF. All files must be at 100% scale, 300 dpi, with a transparent background, and fit within the print area of 580mm x 1000mm. All fonts must be converted to outlines.

Is direct-to-film vinyl?

No, we print onto a semi-transparent material (warm peel) for easy application. Only the DTF ink transfers onto your garments, leaving a soft-to-touch feel.

Direct-to-Film Features, File Setups, and More

DTF Artwork Settings:

  • Preferred Format: PNG
  • Other Acceptable Formats: PDF, JPG (for photos only), EPS
  • Color Mode: RGB or CMYK (Do not use Pantone/PMS/Spot colors)
  • Resolution: 300 dpi at the actual print size
  • Background: Transparent (anything visible on screen will print)
  • Photoshop Users: Trim excess background (Image > Trim). Ensure the design fills the canvas.

DTF Transfer Paper Size:

  • Roll Width: 24” wide, print area up to 22” wide
  • Recommended Max Print Size: 14” x 18” to fit most heat presses

Print Locations:

DTF transfers should be applied using a high-quality, commercial heat press. This allows flexibility in print locations on various garments. Ensure the fabric can withstand high heat and the area to be printed is flat.

Printable Fabrics:

  • Cotton, silk, polyester, denim, nylon, leather, 50/50 blends, 60/40 blends, triblends, and more
  • Suitable for both white and dark textiles
  • Not recommended for sublimated polyester

Print Settings:

We use high-quality settings for the best detail, ink coverage, and color accuracy.

DTF Transfer Application Process:

  • Temperature: Set to 266°F 130°C
  • Prepress: Garment for 5 seconds to remove moisture
  • Pressing: Cover the transfer with craft or parchment paper, press for 15 seconds with firm pressure
  • Peeling: allow 1-2secs to cool warm peel, then peel off the film
  • Final Press: Press again for 5 seconds without a cover sheet
  • Equipment: Test on your equipment before production

  • Recommended Graphics Software: Vector-based (CorelDraw, Adobe Illustrator) for graphics/logos, Raster-based (Photoshop) for photographs
  • Image Size vs. Canvas Size: Ensure your design fills the canvas at the size you want it printed

Garment Fabrics:

DTF transfers work with non-treated cotton, silk, polyester, denim, nylon, leather, 50/50 blends, and more.

Color Modes:

Files can be in RGB or CMYK. Do not mix color modes or use Spot/Pantone/PMS colors.

Garment Care:

  • Washing: Wait 24 hours after printing. Wash cold, inside out. Hang dry or tumble dry on fluff (no heat). Never iron over the decoration.
  • Durability: Designed to last over 100 washes if properly cared for.
