How to Size Artwork for a Gang Sheet
A gang sheet combines several designs on one print layout. The sheet dimensions describe the available layout area; each logo or graphic still needs its own finished print size. Plan the dimensions and copy counts before arranging the artwork.
Start with the correct sheet
Our metre gang sheet layout is 580mm × 1000mm. At 300 DPI this is approximately 6,850 × 11,811 pixels. Use millimetres to confirm the physical size and follow the selected product’s requirements.
A4 and A3 describe smaller sheet formats. Check the usable print area on the relevant product before filling the layout. Do not assume an A4-sized image should be enlarged to fill a metre.
Make a design and quantity list
| Record | Example |
|---|---|
| Design name | Main business logo |
| Finished width | 100mm |
| Finished height | Keep the original proportions unless a different shape is intended |
| Number of copies | 20 |
| Printing process | DTF for suitable fabric, or UV DTF for suitable hard surfaces |
The example is a planning method, not a required logo size. Choose dimensions for the garment or item you are decorating. For clothing, check placement against the actual garment sizes and seams.
Arrange the sheet
- Open the gang sheet creator and select the layout that matches your order.
- Upload transparent artwork and set each design to its finished width and height. Keep proportions locked when resizing unless you deliberately want to distort the design.
- Duplicate the designs to match your quantity list. Recheck counts after copying or using layout tools.
- Rotate a design if it helps the layout and does not change the intended shape. Leave clear space between transfers so you can cut and handle them separately.
- Keep every design inside the sheet. Check thin lines, small text and the sheet edges at a useful zoom level.
Check the export
Download the print file, then reopen it to confirm the complete layout. Check the physical dimensions, transparency and number of copies. Do not use a screenshot: it can contain the editor background and may be too small to print cleanly.
Supply the orientation requested by the product. Do not mirror the artwork automatically if you are unsure; ask us before ordering. Keep a separate original layout so you can correct a size or quantity without rebuilding the sheet.
Choose the matching product
Order DTF by the metre when you need transfers to heat press onto suitable fabrics. Choose UV DTF for suitable cups, bottles and hard surfaces. A gang sheet file does not change one transfer process into the other.
